I actually really liked google assistant, especially for hands-free driving - changing songs, making calls, etc. Gemini is absolutely useless and cannot be used for the basic tasks I require. Please let this app work on my device again, I would like to go back. I will not buy an android phone again if Gemini is the only (crummy) option available going forward, I hate it.

I use this app constantly. One of the things that I cannot stand is the fact that there seems to be no way to shut off the screen prompt for quick phrases without disabling the quick phrase. I love using "stop" and "snooze" for alarms and timers, I often use "answer" and "decline" for incoming phone calls. I don't love that the prompt completely covers up the caller's name. It should be possible to disable the onscreen prompt. Also, the email listed in the app store is disabled.

Piece of junk. All settings to unlock the phone VIA Google Assistant and get personal results while the screen is locked are enabled and I still cannot do certain things without physically unlocking my screen. What the hell is the point of a "hands free" experience? This used to work and now it's been broken for about a year. Google products take years to fix so I don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon. Absolutely useless. Considering leaving Google all together.

Hi Adam. You can't unlock your device with your voice, but you can use your Assistant while your device is locked. To do this, tap "Device Settings", then turn on "Hey Google" and "Lock screen personal results".
