HR Market Consultant (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in HR Business Partner or HR Generalist.
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and drive decisions with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Experience in HR and local employment law.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience implementing large-scale HR projects, risk management/mitigation and supporting change management, business readiness, communications, and training activities.
  • Ability to communicate in French fluently to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management skills and delivery, to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Excellent communication and change management skills.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of HR, to execute on and operationalize Google’s geographic priorities in Market. As a Market Consultant you will have knowledge of company and local programs, policies, compliance procedures and offer a compelling voice around HR matters as it relates to the Market, internally and externally. You will work seamlessly across multiple People Operations partners and business stakeholders to collaborate effectively and use their skills to represent the needs of Google. You will also manage multiple projects and country-specific initiatives effectively and understand how to escalate decisions or urgent matters. You will facilitate partner discussions and drive decisions that are good for Google and bring partners/stakeholders along with their change management skills. You will also work closely with Market delivery teams to develop subject matter/operational expertise within a variety of service areas and maintain resource documentation, including governance, communications, and general program management.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the relevant teams to ensure end-to-end delivery for our HR processes in country by contributing to the deployment of high priority country focussed HR programmes and initiatives, aligned to the country people plan.
  • Manage local employment policy and practices to ensure legal and regulatory compliance in addition to solving for compliance matters and reviewing local policies in the context of the market.
  • Work with the HR Compliance, Process Ownership, User Support and the Corporate Operations Developers teams on prioritizing and mitigating market related risks.
  • Provide local context and advice on key HR related matters, supporting local labor relations management, including engaging with councils/work councils where applicable.
  • Drive recommendations and prioritization to ensure work is in service of the end delivery of our Googler experience in country.
