Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience working in a privacy related field (e.g., security engineering, data engineering, data scientist, compliance engineering etc.).
- 2 years of experience driving initiatives and solutions for technological problems.
- 2 years of experience in determining privacy technologies or frameworks to solve technical and operational problems.
- Experience with privacy data handling and information privacy.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with the software development lifecycle, including code review experience in one or more general purpose languages.
- Experience in privacy testing in wearables, smart-home or mobile devices.
- Familiarity with E2EE messaging and mobile or Android platform, and app development.
- Knowledge of consumer/business messaging and RCS.
- Knowledge of AI/ML.

The Platforms Privacy Team is focused on the Android Platform and ecosystem including first-party devices, services, apps and infrastructure as well as associated third-party ecosystems.

Responsibilities
- Exercise design and architecture related knowledge to develop and drive technical privacy solutions as well as policy changes alongside engineering teams.
- Drive privacy solutions into products and services, including early engagement with product and engineering teams on the product design.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the privacy excellence of product launches, including with legal and public policy teams.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and provide guidance and solutions to mitigate identified privacy risks.
- Provide post-launch support in the form of privacy subject matter analysis for incidents and vulnerability reports.
