Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

The Partner and Operations Solutions team at Google is responsible for developing and maintaining a workspace of critical tools that empower partners and internal operations teams. We build and evolve the platforms that streamline operations, surface actionable insights, and power every stage of the partner life-cycle, keeping operations efficient and partnerships thriving. Our tools portfolio includes Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, partner facing tooling, our spend management platform, and other productivity related platforms.

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, including other managers and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous growth.
  • Set the long-term technical goal, strategy, and architectural direction for partner and operations solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of complex, scalable software solutions across multiple teams, ensuring quality, timeliness, and operational robustness.
  • Partner with and influence leaders in Product, UX, Operations, and partner teams to define requirements, shape strategy, and ensure impactful outcomes.
  • Advocate best practices in software development, system design, and reliability, driving innovation and maintaining high standards for technical quality and system health.
