Group Product Manager, Customer Experience, Google Ads

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience in taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • 5 years of experience in people management, with technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or a business related field.
  • 7 years of experience in working cross-functionally with engineering, User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI), business finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 7 years of experience in a business function role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • Experience with Google Ads ecosystem and advertiser needs.
  • Experience in applying AI/ML with Generative AI or Large Language Models to solve business or user problems in areas like customer support, business enablement, workflow automation, or policy issues.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

In this role, you will work with engineers and teams in User Experience (UX) and Technical Program Management to drive initiatives that will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) acceleration of the product strategy, resulting in improved customer experience and cost savings. You will also lead a team of Product Managers to drive strategy, ensure cross-functional alignment, exercise decision-making leadership, and promote a customer-centric product maturity model. You will create and deliver motivated product goals with quality and achieve success. You will be instrumental in creating a culture of collaboration and innovation across the overall organization.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a multi-year product goal that will serve as the North Star for the team focusing on leveraging Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) to solve advertiser issues and enhancing collaboration between Google's Business and Support teams. Leverage data and user insights to inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Align goals, land product roadmaps and feature across partners/stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate the product goal into technical specifications and solutions involving the application of AI/ML.
  • Be an advocate of users by understanding their problems, and developing new solutions. Understand how advertisers deliver value from Google Ads and support, establish domain expertise on advertiser tests.
  • Communicate the goal and value proposition of solutions to stakeholders across Customer Experience (CE), Ads, Google Business Operations, and Support leadership.
