About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
The Global Submarine Networks (GSN) Operations organization is the mission-critical engine responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of Google’s subsea infrastructure. As a newly evolving entity, GSN Operations bridges the gap between massive-scale infrastructure engineering and the delivery of high-availability international connectivity services to Global Production and carrier customers. Our mission is to manage the transition from "Build to Operate" with uncompromising excellence, integrating complex optical transport technologies with modern, software-defined IT service management (ITSM) principles.
In this role, you will be the foundational architect for how GSN moves from infrastructure construction to exceptional service delivery and management operating models. You will design the Build-to-Operate and Service-to-Handover frameworks, ensuring that as new subsea cable systems reach Commercial Acceptance, they are seamlessly integrated into a governed, compliant, and customer-centric operational model. You will require a hybrid expertise in Telecommunications (Subsea/Optical) and IT Service Management (ITIL/Enterprise IT).
The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. We empower Google customers with breakthrough capabilities and insights by delivering AI and Infrastructure at unparalleled scale, efficiency, reliability and velocity. Our customers include Googlers, Google Cloud customers, and billions of Google users worldwide.
