Minimum qualifications:
- 15 years of experience in software design, data structures, and algorithms
- 5 years of experience serving as a technical leader for a software product built by teams
Preferred qualifications:
- Domain experience with infrastructure security
- Experience building enterprise products at scale and engaging with enterprise customers
- Experience with inspiring and motivating geographically distributed teams to work together as a cohesive unit
- Leadership experience helping vet, hire and retain a strong bench of TLs through collaboration with engineering leaders on the team
- Ability to collaborate closely and innovate with engineering and cross-functional teams (particularly PM and TPM) across Cloud and other relevant product areas

The Secops platform delivers the entire range of products and services necessary for enterprises to address their needs ranging from security analytics, response capabilities, and threat intelligence.
In this role, you will partner with the Engineering Director, Product Director and Principal Engineers for Google SecOps to scale the platform by 10X and support customers as well as support more complex environments. You will lead architectural design, integrations with other Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/Alphabet services, integrations with external partners, and optimize our ability to create quality new detections in response to the changing security landscape. You’ll focus on availability, security and compliance of a global system protecting some of the largest enterprises and governments in the world.
Stakeholders will include senior management, engineering leaders across GCP and external partners, all of whose products and services regularly provide to and consume from your system. You will also work closely with customers to understand their requirements and help make them successful.
You will the support growing scale of SecOps in India, spanning the breadth of both security and distributed systems.

Responsibilities
- Create and evolve long-term strategies for SecOps’ systems and infrastructure.
- Evolve SecOps architecture to support product features that span across multiple Alphabet products with a cohesive user experience.
- Drive innovation to make Google SecOps the leading Security operations platform, leveraging capabilities across Alphabet.
- Formulate and realize complex technical outcomes in close collaboration with cross-functional partners and leads across the business unit.
- Build a strong bench of TLs through support of hiring and mentoring in a wide variety of domains ranging from large-scale data processing, UI, enterprise integrations, and security engineering.
