Display Silicon Architect

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience working in display-related silicon chip design, with digital, analog, and IC designs.
  • Experience with product development for consumer electronic applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience architecting CMOS backplanes for microdisplays, developing chip level specs and developing new products.
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools and digital design flows.
  • Knowledge of power management and low-power design techniques for integrated circuits, with experience with embedded memory architectures and their application in display backplanes.
  • Knowledge of pixel architectures and driving schemes for active displays.
  • Knowledge of IC manufacturing, advanced packaging and their impact on design, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of key display enhancement IPs, such as Gamma Correction, de-Mura, burn-in compensation, overdrive, and with SoC display pipeline and applications/features.

In this role, you will lead the display silicon architecture and specification for OLED DDICs or microdisplay CMOS backplanes. You will also work with cross-functional partners and vendors for IC development, and validate functionality and performance in modules and systems.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Investigate and assess feasibility of new features (e.g. related to pixel array and analog design, display pipeline, SoC / system integration, or advanced packaging designs).
  • Design and analyze critical analog or digital circuit blocks within the display IC.
  • Develop IC engineering requirements specifications, work with vendors and partner teams during all stages of silicon development and validate functionality and performance at display module and system levels.
  • Investigate roadmap opportunities related to CMOS process technologies and advanced packaging for next generation designs.
