Lead Solutions Consultant, Regulatory Affairs and Customer Assurance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
  • Experience implementing regulatory processes or compliance audits.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Professional certifications including CISSP, CISA, CIPP, or GIAC.
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Risk Management, Auditing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with standard information security and privacy compliance certifications, such as ISO 27k family, SOC reports, PCI DSS, or FedRAMP.
  • Experience in information security and compliance, IT audit, consulting, and risk management.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Ability to demonstrate records in the implementation of large-scale cloud or software projects in corporate environments.

As part of the Cloud CISO risk and compliance organization, the Regional Regulatory Affairs and Customer Assurance team is a proactive engine of advocacy and customer growth. We serve as the regional technical liaison the high-impact bridge between Google’s global engineering, local regulators, and our most strategic customers. Our goal is to unblock markets and shape the regulatory landscape, ensuring compliance is a competitive advantage rather than a barrier.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and advocate to resolve regulatory blockers in the Brazilian market to enable regulated customers to use Google Cloud, thereby recovering business currently held up by compliance hurdles.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to interpret local directives and assess their specific impact on customers, Google Cloud’s architecture, and operations.
  • Position Google Cloud as the premier choice for regulated Cloud and generative AI applications by validating compliance postures for AI workloads and addressing sovereignty concerns.
  • Provide regulatory expertise to support high-sensitivity, complex commercial and public sector partnerships and agreements.
  • Draft and promote cloud solutions specific to regulated industries or the local market, gain and maintain an in-depth understanding of Google's risk and control environment to lead cloud security risk, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance audit engagements requested by Google Cloud’s largest customers.
