Business Systems Analyst Manager, Spaces Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
  • 5 years of experience managing and leading teams.
  • Experience with technical concepts such as data modeling, systems architecture, integration patterns, and security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Real Estate and Workplace Services business domains.
  • Experience with vendor management and third-party platform integrations.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts such as systems design and architecture.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale projects, effectively engaging subject matter experts to resolve complex issues, thinking strategically beyond immediate needs to design scalable solutions, and managing vendor performance.

The team identifies time-consuming internal processes and builds solutions that are reliable and scalable enough to work within the size and scope of the company. You listen to and translate Googler needs into high-level technical specifications, design and develop recommended systems and consult with Google executives to ensure smooth implementation. Whether battling large system processes or leveraging our homegrown suite of Google products for Googlers themselves, you help Googlers work faster and more efficiently.

The Spaces Engineering team is searching for a skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Manager. This role will be instrumental in directing a team of Business Systems Analysts to effectively analyze, integrate, and oversee third-party platforms, making sure they function smoothly within the company's operational framework and meet the Real Estate and Workplace Services team's workflow and business objectives. This position is pivotal in guaranteeing that these platforms fulfill the demands outlined by the Real Estate and Workplace Services stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive and growth-oriented team environment. Guide and mentor team members, aiding them in developing their skills and advancing their careers. 
  • Direct the team's analysis of business processes, data, systems, and applications within real estate, particularly those involving third-party platforms. Identify opportunities for enhancement, optimization, and innovation, ensuring alignment with Google’s real estate strategy.
  • Lead the team in transforming business requirements into easily understood and comprehensive technical specifications. Supervise the evaluation of vendor-supplied applications, guide the team in suggesting solution integration strategies within Google's infrastructure. 
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders across Google, and external vendors. Facilitate communication and collaboration to achieve shared objectives and deliver solutions that effectively address Google's real estate requirements.
  • Instill a culture of engineering-excellence within the team, placing strong emphasis on data-driven decision making and continuous improvement of business analysis processes.
