Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or equivalent project management experience in a technology/media company.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or MBA.
  • Experience with executive stakeholder management across Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales functions.
  • Understanding of Google’s product suite and its GTM/Sales organization.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the big picture to executive teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously that span Alphabet’s different divisions.
  • Excellent program management, and written and verbal communication skills.

About the job

The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) team is a global partner to Google’s Global Business Organization (GBO), focusing on strategy, operations, and product commercialization for the Ads business. Their core mission is to ensure strategic growth and effective operations.

GTM is responsible for setting Go-to-Market strategy and shaping priorities to accelerate business growth. A key function is to commercialize new Ads products. This involves representing the customer's voice, advocating for product requirements, and ensuring teams are equipped to drive customer growth, product adoption, and business health. GTM also plays a vital role in building robust Go-to-Market infrastructure, from developing tooling to enhancing GBO employees' business skills, ensuring flawless execution that aligns with business outcomes. GTM has teams embedded within major Ads business areas and in global teams that operate across all business segments. Team members are highly analytical, strategic, and pragmatic.

The Product Strategy and Operations team works to drive coordinated product and commercial decisions across the Ads ecosystem. As the leader you will drive outcomes across Product, GTM, gTech, Marketing, and Finance, with the goal of making the GBO organization operate as fast as possible. You will set the agenda for executive GBO leaders, breaking down ambiguous problems into clear project plans and motivating global teams to make timely decisions, even with imperfect information. The role requires close partnership with leaders across multiple organizations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for driving GBO’s core Flywheel leadership team, and measure their ability to accelerate product activation and feedback decisions.
  • Drive ongoing cadence/agenda for 12+ GBO leaders, constantly assessing and reprioritizing based on the shifting needs of the business.
  • Lead time-sensitive strategic projects for GTM by quickly understanding context and develop a prioritized scope and approach for resolution in ambiguous situations.
  • Work cross-functionally with cross-GTM teams, People Operations, Sales Finance, Marketing, and Communications teams to scope, manage, and execute strategic projects.
  • Derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Communicate key findings to senior leadership with executive-ready presentations, manage program efforts on behalf of stakeholders.
