Tech Lead Manager, AI Native Commerce Integrations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in e-commerce or payments industry.
  • Experience designing and developing applications and APIs for commerce systems.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience building or interacting with Generative AI or Applied AI applications.
  • Experience with people management in a technical environment.

About the job

As a Tech Lead Manager, you will steer the technical outlook and lead the team shaping how businesses integrate with Google’s next-generation AI commerce platforms. You will balance strategic leadership with technical execution, driving full-stack solutions that make complex merchants onboarding feel seamless. Acting as a bridge between product strategy and engineering excellence, you will mentor a talented team to build scalable systems while collaborating with global infrastructure partners.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$307,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.
  • Design and develop large-scale distributed systems.
  • Model commerce capabilities in Unified Commerce Platform (UCP).
