Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working in a data center, enterprise or relevant technical environment (e.g., hardware).
- 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in managing and designing complex hardware systems for data center and enterprise systems.
- Understanding of the hardware product development process, from concept, design, validation, manufacturing and deployment.
- Ability to influence decision makers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills.

As a hardware engineering manager, you will lead the hardware team and build the systems that are important to our largest and dynamic computing infrastructure.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of system hardware engineers that deliver Data Center products. Define hardware product roadmap, system features and implementation plan.
- Own end-to-end hardware system design architecture and product development, collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.
- Partners with silicon, software, data center deployment and operational teams and Contract Manufacturer (CM)/Joint Development Manufacturer (JDM)/Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) from prototype, engineering builds to mass production deployment.
- Lead cross-functional team to address any technical and deployment issues.
- Collaborate with key hardware vendors and suppliers to drive the industry ecosystem to meet Google’s future needs.
