Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C++, or Python).
- 3 years of experience launching and maintaining software products, including 1 year of experience with distributed systems design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience in speech/audio/video (e.g., generative media or voice technology), reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or related ML fields.
- 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, debugging) or building backend services that integrate with AI models.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms and designing systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role, including mentoring junior engineers or leading technical projects from conception to launch.
- Experience developing accessible technologies or tools that lower the barrier to entry for digital creativity.
- Experience with cloud-native storage (e.g., SQL/Spanner), RPC frameworks, and navigating ambiguity in a 0-to-1 product environment.

- Write and test high-performance backend services in Java or Kotlin to orchestrate video generation workflows and storage systems.
- Collaborate through design and code reviews to ensure best practices in distributed systems architecture, code style, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to technical documentation and educational content, including authoring RFCs and design docs for multi-quarter infrastructure initiatives.
- Triage, debug, and resolve system issues by analyzing impacts on hardware and network operations to ensure high reliability for our expanding enterprise user base.
- Design solutions in specialized ML areas, leveraging ML infrastructure to build backend pipelines that serve and scale Generative AI media models.
