Staff Business Systems Analyst, Googler Technology

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience building integrated systems throughout the entire lifecycle (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, and support).
  • 10 years of experience designing and implementing Fleet Management systems and operations.
  • 5 years of experience using ServiceNow.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application to IT operations.
  • Ability to deliver global ITSM platform implementation on Service Now.

The team identifies time-consuming internal processes and then builds solutions that are reliable and scalable enough to work within the size and scope of the company. You translate Googler needs into high-level technical specifications, design and develop recommended systems and consult with Google executives to ensure smooth implementation. Whether battling large system processes or leveraging our homegrown suite of Google products for Googlers themselves, you help Googlers work faster and more efficiently.

With your technical expertise, you build business applications and influence the design of features that improve the reliability of our applications and systems. You also define the scope of technical projects and oversee execution.

In this role, you will shape the future of IT for Google's global workforce. You will ensure the productivity, security, and seamless user experience of critical IT services, within the core IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms and Fleet operations systems. You will be a part of a global team of Business Systems Analysts, delivering on team objectives and key results (OKRs) and driving significant business improvements and impact that are important to the organizational direction and the AI-Native transformation of IT at Google. You will be a partner, bridging business needs with technical solutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$258,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Build and influence cross-organizational collaborations with engineering, product management, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on direction and execution for projects.
  • Serve as a domain expert in ITSM (with expertise in ServiceNow implementation) and Fleet operations, providing insights and solutions for value.
  • Mentor other Business Systems Analysts who are earlier in their career journey, and participate in fostering their development.
  • Define and drive road maps for business analysis within Platform and Fleet Operations.
  • Anticipate and define business problems, then research and assess varied approaches including solutions or crafting custom solutions. Manage internal and external risks associated with changes to products, processes, or services, identify issues and make informed decisions.
