Partner Engineer II, ISV, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture and development methodologies (e.g., modernizing legacy applications and application performance profiling and tuning) in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience designing and building architectures and migrating workloads to cloud environments.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Experience with architectural design patterns, platform engineering (e.g. Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, image management or repository management), virtualization deployments, container deployments, application security, networking, devops or observability.
  • Experience working with an ISV (sell to or sell with).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building strategic business partnerships with ISVs and customers in an architecture or solution delivery role.
  • Experience with Modern Infrastructure (Cloud Service Providers) or modern applications platforms and migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
  • Experience with networking and security concepts.
  • Experience with Google Cloud solutions.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders, and working cross-functionally, in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience conducting partner CTO/technical engagements.

As an Independent Software Vendors (ISV) Partner Engineer, you will work closely with Partner Development Managers and ISV Sales Specialists to grow and support the Google Cloud partner ecosystem. Partner Engineers understand the technical capabilities of our partners and are in the best position to recommend the right partner to our customers.

In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for enabling partners with deep technical knowledge across technologies and solutions. You will contribute to customer adoption of Google Cloud by supporting partners as they illustrate how Google Cloud services can help customers innovate, bring their services to market faster, differentiate against the competition, and create new business growth streams. You will help partners succeed in the proof of concept, migration and deployment phase, ensuring they have full access to Google Cloud’s artifacts, tools, templates, and best practices.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Enable partners in prototyping and demonstrating product integrations and guiding customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environment(s). Support partners developing solutions, ensuring the best use of Google Cloud.
  • Recommend and review integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement complete solutions on Google Cloud.
  • Work with Partner Managers and PEs to identify and recruit partners in the market that can deliver innovative and complete solutions to our customers. Onboard partners to the Marketplace and empower them to drive successful pilots, proofs of concept, and production workloads.
  • Collaborate with partners to develop Google Cloud-specific solution documentation, joint technical articles, webinars, whitepapers, and demos with ISV products.
  • Scale customer wins through partners by promoting the partner with account teams and developing deep relationships.
