About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) within the Simulation Modeling Automation and Robotics Team (SMART), you will be at the forefront of a global transformation. Our mission is to scale the deployment of industrial automation across Google’s worldwide data center footprint.

In this role, you will help us streamline our deployment pipelines, bridge technical gaps between engineering and operations, and ensure our automation solutions land effectively in the field. You will be passionate about robotics, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end deployment of automation hardware and software at site-specific locations, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
  • Work closely with Server Operations, Site Engineering, and Global Logistics teams to navigate local site constraints and requirements.
  • Identify bottlenecks in our current deployment velocity and propose data-driven solutions to help us scale faster.
  • Identify technical or logistical risks to deployment schedules and develop mitigation plans.
  • Maintain clear documentation and dashboards to provide visibility into project health and utilization targets for leadership.
