Strategic Partner Development Head, Geo Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or management consulting in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, Geospatial or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience negotiating and executing first of kind agreements; including experience in interpreting legal documents, negotiating agreements, and working with attorneys to draft and execute agreements.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in project, relationship, and stakeholder management with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues for an executive audience and comfortably interact with partner’s and executive management.
  • Ability to navigate an ambiguous and quickly evolving product area, while engaging large partners in a quickly changing landscape.
  • Ability to switch between strategic thinking and relationship management regularly.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

Knowledge and Information Partnerships identifies and manages Content Partnerships (e.g., data licensing agreements) and Actions Integrations (e.g., collaborations to let users “do things” like reserve a table). These partnerships help build and differentiate Google’s products in several areas, including: Search, Assistant, Geo (Maps, Local), Research and Machine Intelligence, and Commerce.

In this role you will work closely with executive product leaders and other teams to develop and execute global partnerships strategies and negotiate agreements that enable Geo products (Consumer and Developer).The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$306,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead a team and work closely with Product and other cross-functional groups to identify and enable impactful product partnerships from concept to launch to ongoing partner management.
  • Own a set of complex product-enabling agreements and partnerships for Google’s Geo products and services, including commercial agreements (e.g., content licensing and product integrations).
  • Collaborate with Google’s Geo Product teams to define partnerships goals, develop go-to-market plans, launch and incubate products and features, improve existing product offerings, and identify new product-enabling partnership opportunities.
  • Act as a resource to global team members for prioritization, agreement/partner guidance and represent partnerships within the cross-functional stakeholder group.
  • Play an active role in internal and external communication of goals and achievements and influence product roadmap by providing market and industry insights.
