Social Insight Strategist (Fixed-Term Contract)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a research or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience designing, scoping, executing, and delivering research and analysis projects.
  • 5 years of experience translating business problems into research questions and translating research findings and insights into marketing recommendations.
  • Experience managing research and measurement agencies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in social media insights and data analytics.
  • Experience in using industry leading social listening tools and platforms.
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives.
  • Excellent business communication skills.

About the job

Google's leadership team hand-picks thorny business challenges, and members of BizOps work in small teams to find solutions. As part of this team you fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations. Taking strategy one step further, you also persuasively communicate your recommendations to senior-level executives, roll-up your sleeves to help drive implementation and check back-in to see the impact of your recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Define and establish a direction and a blueprint of real-time social-data-based insight approach in APAC that leads to marketing strategies and social first campaign briefs.
  • Develop and deploy efficient and effective infrastructure, tools, methodologies and processes that standardize social listening practices across all APAC markets in close alignment with Global.
  • Drive scaled implementation , teaching and enabling marketers to translate complex social listening data analytics to easy-to-understand recommendations that can result in business impact. Implement a consistent social listening framework that can be scaled using regional and global best practices.
  • Build a solid foundation by setting up, maintaining and developing social listening databases across key markets and products for establishing relevant baselines.
  • Lead APAC social insights reporting for critical products and market campaign moments.
