About the job
Google's line of products and services to clients never stops growing. Strategic Partner Managers have the rare opportunity to build a long-lasting relationship with our top partners. You cultivate these existing partnerships to make sure they can take full advantage of Google's ever-growing suite of offerings. You possess strong relationship-building skills and are apt to see mutually beneficial opportunities with partners in order to best represent our users, products and programs.
As a member of the global Android Business Development team, you will drive our business and partnerships with top telco partners, and potentially other non-traditional channel partners across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. You’ll work closely with Android Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal teams on new initiatives and key strategic relationships. In this role, you will identify industry trends and key influencers. You will manage the process from start to finish. Telecom and mobile carriers that partner with Google are existential to building a robust Android ecosystem. You'll shape how new and existing businesses grow, lead key relationships with some of Google’s telecom partners in EMEA, anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explored and uncover the business needs of Google's key partners, and understand how we can together partner on Android deployments to grow their business. Working with them, you will set the vision and the strategy for how Google can help them provide the best mobile experience for their users.
Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Android Platform Partnerships EMEA team with direct and indirect reports geographically based across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
- Grow the Android ecosystem in EMEA across all Android form factors.
- Drive and execute distribution of Google services on Android devices.
- Identify and prioritize partner goals, and be an expert on each target’s organization, business model, and strategic priorities.
- Work closely with other teams at Google to develop coordinated partner strategy where appropriate.
