Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers and its components.
- 3 years of experience in site-level data center operational leadership.
- 3 years of experience in developing and managing managers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing technical teams, vendor or contract management and service delivery.
- Experience with initiating and executing strategic initiatives in a global environment.
- Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating large-scale infrastructure, network and compute architecture, lifecycle, and Linux/Unix system administration.
- Experience in leading and improving Environmental Health and Safety initiatives.
- Excellent performance and presentation skills, with experience in data gathering, and analysis.

The Global Server Operations team is responsible for monitoring the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure behind Google's powerful search technology.
The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with teams to meet goals and stakeholders to manage facility activities and set/implement short- and long-term strategies.
- Maintain, monitor, and execute security and operational procedures and track/analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvements ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
- Support and contribute to the implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and other compliance programs and initiatives in collaboration with other teams to ensure environmental and safety incidents are investigated, resolved, and reported.
- Lead a team of managers, set and communicate individual and team priorities that support organizational goals. Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
