Technical Solutions Consultant, Android Auto Partner Engineering

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in solution engineering or architecture as well as stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, Kotlin, Rust or C/C++).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
  • Experience in consulting, technical consulting in a customer-facing role, and working with a variety of different types of customers, engineers, and business.
  • Experience with Android OS embedded software development.
  • Experience in automotive software.
  • Proven track record of managing time-sensitive initiatives with guidance and high attention to detail. Ability to drive and implement high-impact projects with cross-functional teams.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

Android Auto Partner Engineering's mission is to deliver technical partner programs at scale to enable a high-quality safe and seamless connected experience in every car.

In this role, you will manage multi-year technical programs with car manufacturers and their suppliers to integrate Google products (Android Automotive OS, Android Auto, Cars with Google built-in, and others) in millions of cars globally. You will works at the intersection of technical solutions consulting, program management, and client relationship management, in close collaboration with Google Product, Engineering, UX, and Business Development teams, to bring Google products and third-party apps to users in cars.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workstreams with car manufacturers and the suppliers globally as part of multi-year partner programs.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders (car manufacturers) and internal stakeholders.
  • Support pre-sales engagements, partner onboarding, technical and product consulting for Google's automotive products, troubleshooting and issue resolution, escalation management, and program operations (e.g., managing test hardware).
  • Lead or contribute to internal projects to scale operations (with tooling/automation, process improvements, documentation, training, etc.).
  • Travel up to 10% of the time for client engagements.
