Remote location: Minnesota, USA.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with penetration testing and red teaming functions, including network, web application, mobile, cloud, social engineering, scripting, or tool development.
- Experience with tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing.
- Experience with people management in a technical environment or mentoring and coaching team members.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT, INF, related offensive security, or SANS courses.
- Experience in four or more of the following: network protocols, threat intelligence analysis, system and network administration, project management, developing applications, technical incident response processes, source code review, reverse engineering.
- Experience working with local sales and management teams in driving consulting business generation, scoping or client management.
- Experience with information security implementation or assessment of security controls.
- Ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.
As a Security Consultant, you could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams.
We are seeking a Principal Red Team Consultant to lead our cyber security consulting services. This management-level role involves guiding engagements, providing strategic guidance, and fostering excellent client relationships.
In this role, you will lead and architect sophisticated proactive consulting assessments. You will ovversee and direct the development of comprehensive reports, acting as a primary trusted advisor to C-level executives and security leaders. You will also manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3-4 direct reports, fostering their technical expertise and career growth. This role requires you to demonstrate profound expertise in offensive security, threat actor Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), and enterprise-level security best practices. You will need to cultivate and maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and identifying partnership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Perform offensive technical cyber security engagements of a varied nature.
- Oversee red team projects and interface with clients to address concerns, issues, or escalations; track and drive to closure any issues that impact the engagements and its value to clients.
- Advise clients on security best practices for remediating discovered issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to expand capabilities to deliver further value to clients.
- Manage a team of 3-4 Red Team direct reports.
