Senior Security Engineer, Incident Management, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
- 5 years of experience in coding in one or more languages.
- 2 years of experience as an incident handler or coordinator.
- 1 year of experience in leading teams in a technical capacity or technical risk analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with information security incident and threat assessments (e.g., incident response, enagagement testing, vulnerability assessments).
- Experience in the analysis of IP-based network traffic for identifying and investigating system compromises (e.g., network forensics).
- Experience in development of scripts to help automate workflows.
- Knowledge in log analysis and forensics across distributed systems.
- Knowledge of full stack software from devices (e.g., embedded, mobile, web) to front-end serving stack, back-end, video streaming systems, global networking, crypto, protocols.

- Conduct and direct threat modeling for YouTube products and features.
- Review and develop secure operational practices, and provide security guidance for engineers and support staff.
- Respond to vulnerabilities with mitigations and hardening.
- Create strategy for memory safety at YouTube.
- Explore foundational/Large Language Model (LLM) models for identifying security gaps in product areas.
