Program Manager II, Data Center Equipment Spend Planning

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Finance and Accounting or equivalent practical experience in relevant industry.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in supply chain management with emphasis on functional roles in procurement, planning, fulfillment or operations.
  • Experience managing CAPEX or OPEX costs with the application of governance policies and strategies.
  • Experience with process improvement, creating spreadsheet/database models and managing processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in supply chain operations or planning within the tech industry.
  • Experience in planning materials and costs for new product launches and transitions.
  • Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) systems and tools.
  • Expertise in Analytics/SQL/BigQuery and knowledge of financial and cost accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes as well as experience in development and implementation of planning systems and processes.

As a Spend Planning Program Manager, you will be responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, and governance of CAPEX and OPEX needed to support our supply chain for existing and new products. You will be responsible for the interpretation of the data center demand signal and translating it to a capital plan for our supply chain driving optimal funding decisions. You will work closely with Equipment and Data Center Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Fulfillment, Commodity Management, and Contract Manufacturing teams to develop and manage the execution of an accurate funding plan supporting procurement activities and business strategies.

You will use your skills to establish metrics, process, and system improvements to accomplish efficiency and scalability goals and ensure proper governance influencing our rapidly growing data center infrastructure supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Manage CAPEX and OPEX plans for existing and new product demand requirements to meet business objectives, coordinating with teams on changes and needs impacting the delivery of product as demand fluctuates.
  • Support the development and presentation of the quarterly spend approval process for all critical equipment. Proactive communication of new product capital plans and status to internal customers.
  • Identify and quickly solve funding gaps and inefficiencies. Clearly document process solutions and requirements. Define and manage clear business metrics and goals to manage supply chain performance and governance.
  • Leverage Market Intelligence and Statistical inputs towards driving governance and sustained improvements of inventory models and supply chain buffers.
  • Develop short and long term capital forecast models supporting material supply, minimize total costs while maintaining service levels, develop and justify funding allocation strategies that optimize cost and flexibility.
