Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, related degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in SRAM, Standard cell, General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) and other custom designs.
- Experience with spec development, RTL to GDS flow and integration.
- Experience in CMOS processes and its impact on product.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, related degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in working with or managing silicon IP vendors or foundries.
- Familiarity with IP characterization flows and power reduction techniques.
- Ability to understand and make architectural tradeoffs for product needs.

In this role, you will possess a strong understanding of memory, standard cell, and GPIO digital and custom design techniques, along with a solid grasp of design rules and tradeoffs. You will exhibit excellent analysis and communication skills, and quickly adapt to changing market needs. You are also experienced with the integration and characterization of IP, as well as creating custom specifications, such as behavioral code and timing templates.
You will have experience managing IP vendors, technical features, and schedules through Statements of Work (SOWs), while also unveiling performance, area, and power optimization opportunities, and design risks.
You will also be the technical expert responsible for SOW closure, ensuring that specifications and milestones align with product priorities and schedules. You will work with the IPQA team to provide specifications to build flows for proper quality checks and IP intake. You will guide the technology offerings to attain the best PPA for the product.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Mapping the IP ecosystem, planning and anticipating future Foundation IP product requirements.
- Work with Architecture, Product Management, Design and SOC IP Integration and IP QA leads to ensure future product excellence.
- Work closely with IP vendors to identify new features, negotiate schedules, influence vendor IP portfolio to maximize Google product differentiation.
- Drive SOW and ECOs, change and version controls and develop IP QA checklists and guidelines.
- Manage vendor execution, delivery, schedules and issue resolution, lead executive escalation and internal status reviews.
