Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C,C++).
- Experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in software development for consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of the on-device machine learning or computer vision.
- Knowledge of video/audio streaming design or processing.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the products. You will work alongside engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX, Hardware, Cloud Services, and Mobile Apps, to help bring new, high-quality features to life for the entire camera lineup.
The Google Home team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from thermostats to smart displays. The Home team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. - Implement, test, and deploy C++ software features for Google Home Camera devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to contribute to project goals and deliver features.
- Debug and resolve software issues by analyzing the sources of problems across embedded software, networking, and cloud interactions.
- Participate in design reviews and code reviews, providing feedback and learning from your peers to ensure software quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's development processes and tools.
