Minimum qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in client/partner management, business development, transaction negotiation, tech strategy, leading and managing partnerships, or partner relationships.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications space.
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements with Telco partners in North America.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in project management, complex negotiations, and management of cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in consumer hardware marketing, technology development, or the understanding of product and technology development processes and strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent people management and written and verbal communication skills.

About the job

As a Specialized Strategic Sales Manager, Pixel Devices, you will lead Google’s hardware product engagements with strategic US wireless carriers within the emerging carriers channel. You will drive sales and build long-term relationships within a rapidly expanding channel. You will be responsible for developing and delivering compelling product pitches, managing day-to-day business operations, and crafting and executing effective promotional strategies.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact, both internally and externally, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business initiatives. This includes forecasting, tracking performance, and identifying opportunities to elevate our partnerships and drive business growth.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$166,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive the introduction and management of Google’s hardware products, acting as the main point of contact for sales and day-to-day account management, both internally and externally.
  • Define and pursue goals for product volumes and market share, ensuring effective retail execution strategies are implemented.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to structure and execute business initiatives, developing work plans and communicating final recommendations based on analysis.
  • Forecast and report on key metrics, track actual progress toward forecasts, and identify and evaluate business opportunities to drive growth.
  • Build long-term relationships to optimize partnership value, developing an understanding of the hardware business within the wireless carrier and Internet Service Provider space, and work with Legal on agreements.
