Sales Strategy and Operations Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 4 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, including queries, database definition, and schema design.
  • Experience leading a team across multiple different products/stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading a BI, Analytics, Data, or a similar team.
  • Experience designing data models and data warehouses, writing and maintaining ETLs which operate on structured and unstructured sources.
  • Excellent skills in building and maintaining dashboards to generate insights for stakeholders.

About the job

Chrome OS and Edu Go-To-Market Strategy and Operations team acts as a thought partner to Go-to-Market (GTM) leadership to promote adoption of Chrome OS, Browser, and Workspace Education (EDU) internally and externally. We provide deep data analytics to craft the GTM strategy, and actionable insights and operational leverage to ensure their success. Our scope expands across Enterprise and Education segments. We work cross-functionally with sales/channel, marketing, product management, and finance to ensure the success of the Chrome Commercial and Workspace Edu businesses globally.

In this role, you will be responsible for the analysis, forecasting, and dashboarding that makes the StratOps mission possible. You will provide our StratOps teammates with the reporting and insights they need to drive results for our stakeholders.

You will be leading the systems and data aspects of our go-to-market within the enterprise and education environments. You will levarage your leadership, management, and communication skills also the technical, analytic, and problem-solving skills to resolve the issues. You will navigate ambiguity, communicate well across and within teams, and manage stakeholders at different levels of the business. In order for your team to succeed, you will need to prioritize their work efficiently and resolve obstacles and distractions so they can execute effectively.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple BI Analysts and contribute to the team’s work. Define and maintain clear roles and responsibilities, take on specific workstreams as needed, scope out new workstreams with Cross-functional (XFN) partners, manage escalations and high-priority ad-hoc requests.
  • Define and refine team-wide standards and processes, ensuring high-quality, accurate, robust reporting and analysis across the team’s entire portfolio. 
  • Mentor and grow direct reports, providing knowledgeable guidance on scripting, dashboarding, and analytic questions as they arise. Help solve issues and technical problems when the team gets stuck.
  • Work closely with XFN partners to ensure the smooth implementation of high-priority projects, including incentive plans to drive growth. Ensure incentive plan reporting fits in seamlessly with our existing portfolio of business reporting, and that data issues are addressed appropriately as they come up.
