Program Manager, Regulatory Affairs Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, or project management from a public accounting firm or multi-national company, focused on risk, compliance, regulatory or related functions.
  • Experience with process orientation, project management techniques, methodologies, and best practices.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, JD, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in Accounting/Finance or with financial systems and processes, including SEC filings/financial statements.
  • Ability to influence across all levels and functions of the organization and partners.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple projects, and manage multiple teams simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail.

About the job

The Regulatory Affairs Finance team's mission is to mitigate Alphabet’s risk through governance, controls, and clear communication to provide timely and consistent responses to global requests for financial disclosures. You will build relationships with key business partners across Finance, Legal, Global Affairs and Public Policy, Engineering, and more, and execute a clear, structured process from intake through review and release, with a continuous improvement mindset.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $107,000-$153,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Support/advise Finance partners from cross-functional teams on requests for data and business sensitive metrics and ensure Finance leadership teams are consulted on strategy/usage.
  • Maintain information on all requests, including status, next steps, risks, and other metrics, to provide regular reporting, and leverage and enhance tools/processes to refine, document, and monitor requests.
  • Mobilize appropriate Finance and cross-functional teams (e.g., Product and Corporate, Product and International Controllership, Data Analytics, IR and External Reporting, Economics) to compile information in the required time-frame, leveraging submissions or other off-the-shelf work products.
  • Coordinate Finance, Legal, and leadership to ensure appropriate approvals are received prior to releasing financial data by resolving challenges, questions, or requests for additional information.
  • Ensure submissions are archived appropriately for future leverage and usage consistency.
