As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Google Enterprise Network (GEN) Program Management Office (PMO) is a high-impact, centralized team that serves as the strategic backbone for our global engineering efforts. Our mission is to transform complexity into clarity by driving program oversight, governance, and operational excellence. By standardizing lifecycle processes, pioneering data-driven reporting, and leading critical change management, the PMO ensures that our engineering teams can move with maximum velocity and predictability. As a member of this team, you will provide the structure and insights necessary to scale our network services in lockstep with Google’s growth.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-year, cross-organizational programs from inception to close-out, ensuring full transparency of scope, risks, and timelines for all GEN stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering, delivery, operations, customer success, and architecture to improve the frameworks and coordination required to launch and iterate global network products.
  • Develop metrics and reporting standards that provide leadership with clear visibility into program performance, capacity, and network demand.
  • Evolve the GEN strategic playbook, establishing the methodologies and standards that increase predictability and quality across the organization.
  • Work with partner teams to drive alignment on automation and standardized designs, helping to reduce technical debt and operational complexity.
