About the job

At the core of Google Search is our mission to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful. We’ve made tremendous progress over the past 25 years, making Google Search work better for you every day. We started with text search, but over time, we've continued to create more natural and intuitive ways to find information — today you can search what you see with your camera, or ask a question aloud with your voice.

Now, advancements in artificial intelligence are enabling us to transform Search yet again. We're going far beyond the search box to create search experiences that work more like our minds, and that are as multidimensional as we are as people. Our newest AI technologies are creating entirely new ways to engage with information, from language and images to video and audio, and now with the power of generative AI.

We envision a world in which you’ll be able to find exactly what you’re looking for by combining images, sounds, text and speech, just like people do naturally. You’ll be able to ask questions, with fewer words — or even none at all — and we’ll still understand exactly what you mean. And now, with the power of generative AI, we’re ushering in the next evolution of Search, unlocking entirely new types of questions you never thought Search could answer, and transforming the way information is organized.

In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. In joining the Search team, you'll have an opportunity to make an impact on billions of people globally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000-$383,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
