Finance Analyst, Media Incentives

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience writing SQL queries and retrieving data from relational databases.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python or R) and experience with PLX tools (scripts, tables, dashboards).
  • Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment and ability to work in ambiguous and a fluid environment.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, combined with business judgment and the ability to communicate and partner with a senior management team.
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills with experience creating financial dashboards or models.

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. The Media Incentives Finance team ensures that Google makes good financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, you will work in modeling investment scenarios or tracking performance metrics, which is used by our business leaders to make decisions. You will work on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding ways to manage big-picture challenges. This role offers you the opportunity to partner with Finance, other teams across different regions, understanding key business metrics, highlighting risk and opportunities and through process stewardship such as goal setting and annual planning. You will have excellent problem-solving and data skills and will contribute in a growth environment and is interested in building a career in Finance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive insights and analysis to support the financial performance of Incentives Programs for both Agencies and Advertisers.
  • Manage the technical reporting infrastructure to help the team manage and influence the financial aspects of incentive programs.
  • Leverage technical expertise to provide quantitative analysis, including conducting for Return on Investment and incrementality studies for incentive programs.
  • Interact with other Finance, Product, and partner teams to assure alignment, as well as data consistency and efficiency.
