Google's legal department is at the center of an information law revolution, and you're at its core. As a Legal Assistant, you are a driving force behind the success of your Legal team, ready to roll up your sleeves to create and improve processes, maintain records, conduct legal research and coordinate communications across the team. As you closely support your team, you may find yourself working with multiple groups within the Legal Department, internal clients across Google, and external parties. You're an independent thinker who isn't afraid to ask questions, and you're organized in a way that never overlooks the details.

As a Policy Specialist, you will take the initiative to create and improve processes, maintain records, conduct legal research, and coordinate communications across the team. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $87,000-$125,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to legal requests with high attention to detail.
  • Focus on quality data entry and stay dedicated and task-oriented.
  • Work with highly confidential and sensitive information while exercising excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Work non-standard hours as needed (i.e. be on-call on a rotational basis) to handle after-hours legal requests and escalations.
