Program Manager, Network Operations

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with analysis of operational metrics to deliver customer satisfaction.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with Operational Support Systems (OSS).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience designing and executing quality control programs and metrics.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure, cloud and digital transformations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills, with a strong eye for data insights, comfort with sheets and reporting.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Data and Performance Quality initiatives to improve Network Operations. Deliver Global Submarine Networks (GSN) Digitization initiatives to deliver operational innovations and overall effectiveness.
  • Deliver quality governance frameworks, and implementation of an Operational Readiness Testing program for new systems introduction and network operationalisation. Programs related to deliver OSS and Operational systems capabilities.
  • Test Network reliability, processes robustness and complete retrospective analysis and improvement. Track and report on the progress of Operate initiatives and programs across GSN Operations.
  • Gather and collate all aspects of necessary Data and Analytics to drive operational effectiveness, from day 1 build to existing in operational systems.
  • Using data analytics Identify, create and establish measures of operational excellence/quality, dashboard views across domains, cross correlation of inputs to drive operational excellence evident within the Operate Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
