Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer.
- 3 years of experience with the design and implementation of distributed systems.
- 3 years of experience with incident response.
- 3 years of experience in production systems.
- 3 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience leading teams in a distributed team structure.
- Experience working in a distributed systems, storage, or data analysis systems.
- Experience managing staff level engineers.
- Experience collaborating with executive-level stakeholders.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that Google's services—both our internally critical and our externally-visible systems—have reliability, uptime appropriate to users' needs and a fast rate of improvement. Additionally SRE’s will keep an ever-watchful eye on our systems capacity and performance.

In this role, you will enable Googlers to efficiently and reliably manage and query data sources across Google using the F1 ecosystem, serving critical data journeys for users such as Ads and Payments.

Responsibilities
- Be the SRE partner for cross-functional F1 ecosystem leaders and developers, ensuring that F1 reliability is a key feature, and that SRE team projects are delivering the impact for F1 and its users.
- Maintain and grow F1 SRE's incident management and customer service culture, and its partnerships with the Ads and Payment organizations.
- Nurture engineering and leadership skills in their team ranging from new graduates to staff engineers.
- Manage the individual contributors in F1 SRE Americas, and the manager of the APAC team.
- Manage on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model.
