Strategy and Operations Principal Lead, Global Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or graduate degree.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, or corporate advisory.
  • Track record of leading projects and delivering end-to-end outcomes.
  • Ability to proactively identify and assess opportunities, with a strong understanding of their potential impact on business growth.
  • Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguity and design creative solutions to complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and gain alignment among various stakeholders.

The Business Strategy and Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Partnerships Solutions team is a dynamic and integral part of the Global Partnerships organization, acting as "playmakers" who drive value by orchestrating transformational partnerships across Google. We are at the forefront of Google's most critical initiatives, with a strong focus on advancing the company's AI journey, delivering commercial impact, and promoting sustainable ecosystems. This team supports strategy and operations for partnerships across four product pillars Edu, Research Core and Tech and Society. ERC Partnerships (Edu, Research and Core Partnerships) leads partnerships that enable innovative research, solve fundamental problems in technology at scale, and use AI to solve the world's biggest issues. We drive partnerships across the arc of innovation from early stage research, to proof-of-concept.

As the Strategy and Operations Principal Lead, you'll enable the partnerships team to develop and execute on core strategies to delivery on key business objectives. You'll build relationships with executive stakeholders (partnerships) and cross-functional. You will bring commercial and operational excellence to Go-To-Market (GTM) and scaling strategies

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies to advance primary business goals and key initiatives for Research, Core, and Education.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor Business Development (BD) leadership, communicating, structuring, and problem solving ambiguous business issues and supporting organization priorities.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional partners including product, marketing, finance, legal, and business development to influence product and GTM strategies.
  • Run and improve ERC organization operations by setting targets, automating workflows, streamlining procedures, monitoring business metrics, and optimizing the use of resources.
