Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in networking.
- Experience developing software applications using the C++ programming language.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with real time video transmission.
- Experience delivering and optimizing a real time system.
- Experience working with two or more from the following: Android development, VM Deployment, Windows, Unix/Linux environments, real-time applications, or VR.
- Experience with activating analytics/crash reporting and other systems needed for production.

The Google Augmented Reality team is a group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Help take our proof-of-concept tech stack and bring it to life for Android XR developers, enabling them to build the next generation of amazing applications.
- Develop and enhance networking systems to deliver high-quality video with low latency, building upon the foundations laid by Stadia.
- Scale and robustify testing procedures to validate deliveries across a variety of platforms.
- Enhance the infrastructure to support the growing number of platforms and meet organizational goals.
