App Specialist Manager, gTech Ads GCS (Mandarin, English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience developing relationships with customers, and working with digital media or digital marketing/advertising solutions.
  • 5 years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries to influence teams with similar objectives, aligning resources and direction.
  • Understanding of Google App Ads solutions across performance and measurement.
  • Understanding of media industry issues to advance Google's forward-looking strategies within the marketplace by being a creative and performance-minded thinker.
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic and problem-solving skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action, making presentations to C-Level/executive audiences with excellent communication skills.

gTech Ads is responsible for all support and media and technical services for customers big and small across our entire Ad products stack. We help our customers get the most out of our Ad and Publisher products and guide them when they need help. We provide a range of services from enabling better self help and in-product support, to providing better support through interactions, setting up accounts and implementing ad campaigns, and providing media solutions for customers business and marketing needs and providing complex technical and measurement solutions along with consultative support for our large customers. These solutions range from bespoke and customized ones for our customers to scalable support for millions of customers worldwide. Based on the evolving needs of our ads customers, we partner with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better solutions, tools, and services to improve our products and enhance our client experience. As a cross-functional and global team, we ensure our customers get the best return on investment with Google and we remain a trusted partner.

As an App Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and leading a team of App Specialists in GRCN who work collaboratively with our digital marketing strategists and App sellers to solve complex client level problems as well as increase the App maturity of our advertisers in GCS. You will motivate and coach your team to provide technical and consultative direction to our highest opportunity for GCS customers, using a range of App optimization services.

Responsibilities

  • Establish clear performance priorities for Google Customer Solutions, addressing evolving customer needs and increasing product complexities.
  • Partner with Sales and strategy and operations leaders to align on app priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Build a skilled team that delivers measurable impact, fosters strong stakeholder advocacy and receives positive feedback.
  • Coach team members to enhance their expertise, drive business-focused outcomes, and lead vertical/client app strategies to improve Google solution adoption.
  • Address app challenges through regular discussions, update playbooks and skilling initiatives, and scale the sharing of best practices, tools, and client successes across the organization.
