Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience in a technical, quantitative, or Business field.
  • Experience in driving stakeholder relationships, to endure alignment globally across broad cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate complex meetings with executives and leadership business partners across multiple functions in an organization.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the “big picture" to executive and leadership teams, while maintaining exceptional attention to execution details.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, investigative-thinking, prioritization, and program management skills.

The Business Strategy and Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Global Business Strategy and Operations (GBSandO) team is responsible for providing insightful review, perspective and direction on the strategy and operating performance of Google’s Global Business Organization (GBO). Your mission is to architect and accelerate the transformation of the Global Business Organization (GBO).

The function comprises critical strategic and operational teams that accelerate Google’s performance including the Organizational Strategy and Business Operations team that supports Google’s Chief Business Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and analytics, risk and compliance, Ads Policy operations and, Product strategy and operations GTM.

GBSandO is part of the Global Go-to-Market organization that ensures Google's complex business is pursuing the best strategy and executing flawlessly.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize, structure and execute strategic and operational initiatives which includes develop work plans, gather and synthesize data, lead analyses and develop and implement recommendations.
  • Drive operating excellence for the organization, including optimizing resource allocation, measuring/reporting progress against key objectives and manage business updates/quarterly reviews. 
  • Deliver on complex initiatives that are foundational elements to the Mastery team achieve its learning and business objectives (e.g., process standardization and optimization, measurement strategy, talent strategy, etc.). 
  • Analyze business processes to identify potential issues and uncover/prioritize levers for improvement, influence executive stakeholders to implement suggested improvements. 
  • Structure and package your work into compelling presentations and communications that influence various audiences including executives.
