Industry Manager, Travel and Tourism (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Experience working in the travel and tourism industries.
  • Experience working in the Qatar market.
  • Ability to speak in English fluently in order to communicate in this customer-facing sales role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google’s products, services, and solutions and how they can benefit travel and tourism businesses.
  • Ability to translate client business models and needs into business opportunities.
  • Ability to build networks and relationships within the travel and tourism industry in Qatar.
  • Ability to communicate in Arabic fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
  • Ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Large Customer Sales (LCS) focuses on on long term, sustainable business growth in Ads business via customer success. LCS teams work with the largest Ads business customers and help drive Google's business. The team oversees the largest travel and tourism clients across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, driving strategy and growth for some of the most influential brands in the industry.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage primary relationships with one or more key travel and tourism customers based in Qatar, serving as their main point of contact for all key areas, including joint business plan development, business strategy, pitching, relationship growth, and opportunity sizing.
  • Plan for and achieve business targets expected for the team within your assigned customer portfolio in Qatar.
  • Contribute to scoping customer strategy, manage priorities related to account planning and multi-quarter pipeline for your Qatar-based clients.
  • Influence across internal teams to address customer needs and close agreements, bring a cohesive “OneGoogle” solution to your Qatar-based customers.
  • Create and own joint business plans for your Qatar customers based on their business objectives to foster deeper relationships and ensure progress towards business goals.
