Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture and testing or launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a structured organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) techniques to solve problems, particularly in security contexts.
  • Experience working with large-scale data processing and analytics systems.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, threat landscapes, incident response, and security operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence within Google Cloud Security Israel, directly collaborating with global cybersecurity and with Google Global Security to protect critical assets worldwide.

Salary information for US Applicants:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on projects.
  • Define and evolve the architectural goals and roadmap for critical components and features of the Chronicle Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and best practices.
  • Drive the successful technical delivery of large product initiatives and features from conception through deployment.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, conduct design reviews, and advocate approaches and technologies.
