Business Program Manager, Global Data Centers

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in project or program management.
  • 2 years of experience creating dashboards (Looker, Tableau, Data Studio, or other similar tools).
  • 2 years of experience distilling information into easy to digest graphics, slides, notes, and tables.

Preferred qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA.
  • Experience in supporting budgeting, forecasting and purchase orders, meeting facilitation and vendor relationship management, and knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.
  • Understanding of local authority requirements for data center operations and process documentation.
  • Skilled in project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, and issue tracking.
  • Proficient in SQL for querying, merging, filtering, and subqueries.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to communicate with Global Data Centers.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Data Center Business Program Manager, you'll support operations in the business administrative field. Collaborating with the site team to elaborate site budget, establish operations related service agreements, monthly financial reviews, establishing purchase orders, approving invoice, etc. You'll lead cost control and contractor management for maintenance tasks and small projects, and work closely with the site Environment, Health and Safety department to ensure safety operations. You will have a pivotal role in ensuring that contractors deliver quality services according to agreed key performance indicators and that safety measures are being performed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operating expenses and capital expenses budgets and spending.
  • Train facility managers on the budgeting and forecasting process. This includes familiarizing them with the common tools, spreadsheets, and workflows.
  • Draft and expedite statement of work and purchase orders.
  • Budget and forecast to meet the guidelines set by finance.
