Group Product Manager, Compute Engine, SAP

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in a product management or management consulting role.
  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
  • Experience working with enterprise solutions and sales organizations.
  • Deep familiarity with SAP ecosystem, including relationships with senior SAP executives.
  • Ability to work with senior executives, product leaders, and senior engineering leaders across Google.

Our team is at the heart of Google Compute Engine (GCE). We are responsible for accelerating enterprise adoption and driving revenue growth for large enterprise workloads such as SAP.

You will be working with a talented cross-functional team to define and build new products to accelerate enterprise customers in their adoption and growth on Google Cloud. You'll work to understand customer requirements, industry trends, and platform offerings to drive influence over product roadmap, launches, and initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Build strong connections with key SAP executives and architects in Germany, driving preference for Google for strategic technical projects.
  • Understand SAP’s motivations and technical challenges for operating their SaaS on different clouds and identify concrete areas where we can build preference for Google Cloud by solving high value SAP challenges.
  • Drive effective adoption of Google Cloud offerings (compute, storage, sovereignty controls) within the SAP ecosystem. Build preference for core Google Cloud services such as Compute Engine instances, Hyperdisk, BigQuery, Gemini, and Mandiant.
  • Operate as a core member of the Google Cloud product team, and influence roadmap based on SAP’s needs. Author product and solution requirements documents to influence product plans and advocate roadmap execution.
  • Drive connections between SAP and Google Cloud product experts regularly.
