Network Architect, Hardware, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience architecting ASICs or use of ARM-cores from specification to production.
  • Experience working with network architecture and system design principles for low latency, high throughput, security, and reliability.
  • Experience in micro-architecture, design, verification, logic synthesis, and timing closure.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with NIC internals, programming NICs using low-level languages and drivers, DPDK or similar technologies.
  • Experience working with the Linux networking stack to integrate hardware in support of high-performance networking requirements at the data center level.
  • Experience with the Linux networking stack, ideally with specific focus on Rocky/RedHat variants.
  • Experience in modern development practices and use of Git from a version control perspective.
  • Experience in filter ruleset design and implementation at the hardware level, and knowledge of line-rate solution sets to ensure optimal packet flows through the silicon.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement cutting-edge networking solutions for strategic public sector customers and partners.
  • Specialize in hardware-level optimization and performance in addition to focusing on the intricacies of network hardware.
  • Translate emerging market technologies into new, customer solutions. 
  • Optimize packet flow through system architectures.
