Technical Program Manager II, Pixel Carrier Engineering, Devices and Services

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in wireless communications, cellular network infrastructure, radio access network technologies (e.g., 2G/3G/4G/5G), or carrier certification and industry standards.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience leading/landing product launches.
  • Experience in product development in Engineering Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, hardware engineering, software integration, NPI/Manufacturing, or consumer electronics.
  • Understanding of Wireless Carriers and technologies (e.g., 4G/5G, NSA, and SA), Carrier certification process for smartphones/devices and services, Phone OEM, infrastructure vendor, and Chipset vendor landscape.

The Pixel Carrier Technical Program Management team seeks an experienced T/PgM to manage the in-market Pixel phone program.

In this team, you will be a part of a global, dynamic, and influential product program at Google, and you will drive significant improvements to our products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders spanning Android Release, Pixel Modem Engineering, Pixel Software, and Carrier Technical Account Management teams on the planning of Pixel software release schedules, tracking the execution progress towards key milestones and communicating project status.
  • Drive project momentum and progress through effective issue triage and management.
  • Identify and manage risks to closure through data-driven approaches by applying both technical and business acumen.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance the operational scalability and repeatability of carrier certifications.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within one or more teams to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.
