Search Product Support Engineer, Product Center of Excellence

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience architecting, developing, or maintaining secure cloud solutions.
  • Experience with network security, data security and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing internal or external customer-facing projects to completion while working with cross functional teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Cloud Security delivered within the context of customer-facing roles.
  • Experience securing Google Cloud or other cloud environments.
  • Experience in security architecture or security engineering.
  • Experience implementing FedRAMP, PCI or HIPAA security requirements in a cloud environment.
  • Experience understanding attacks and mitigation methods, in two or more of the following: network protocols and secure network design; web application security, security assessments and pen testing, authentication and access control, applied cryptography and security protocols, security monitoring and intrusion detection, incident response and forensics, development of security tools, automation or frameworks.

As a Security Consultant, you'll provide excellent technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. You will provide best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, cloud-ready application architectures, and more. You'll provide prescriptive guidance in ensuring customers receive the best of what GCP can offer and you will ensure that customers have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications on GCP. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Product Engineering to drive excellence in Google Cloud products and features. This position will have high visibility at the most senior levels of customer organizations, including frequent interaction with CIOs, CISOs, CTOs, their staff, and GCP senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service throughout the customer journey, troubleshooting and resolving issues interacting directly with Google's advertisers (if required) and Sales teams, agencies and partners.
  • Apply deep product expertise solving complex technical customer issues and escalations and carrying out strategic projects. 
  • Analyze data and generate insights to create action plans to solve issues at the root cause for our customers focusing on knowledge management, operational improvements, account reviews, and product adoption. 
  • Partner with our Sales and other cross-functional partner teams to own and continuously improve the customer journey, resolve complex issues, and understand customer pain points. Share insights and provide expertise to our partner teams to support product and process improvements. 
  • Be responsible for the development, maintenance, and delivery of knowledge management resources and training programs to ensure customer support agent competency.
