Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in policy analysis and campaigns, working on technology issues or the policy environments that surround them.
- 4 years of experience working within government, think tanks, public interest groups, technology industry groups, or corporate public policy organizations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in executing cross-functional projects.
- Experience in policy analysis.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Excellent political, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
About the job
You will join Google’s Global Policy Campaign team in the Government Affairs and Public Policy Centers of Excellence. This is a diverse global team, working across geographies, business areas and functions to help drive campaigns that support key policy priorities for Google. You’ll combine creativity and intellectual excellence with the organizational skills to manage various campaigns, projects and initiatives. You will advocate for Google to bring external perspectives back into the company to inform our perception and direction.
In this role, you will support a number of high priority policy campaigns focused on the most pressing regulatory issues for the business. You'll work with a small, supportive team that designs and executes strategic cross-functional campaigns working with marketing, business organizations, and regional government relations leads. Campaigns strategy is developed with an audience of stakeholders in mind, including policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion formers, non-profit groups, and others with an eye toward policies that will help create and maintain a user-focused online environment and an open internet.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Coordinate timelines, goals, and objectives for assigned pillars of policy campaigns, ensuring their integration into overarching strategies.
- Create and maintain internal communication channels and reporting to inform cross-functional partners and leadership of campaign developments.
- Manage a complex and highly collaborative budget.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with partners across policy, marketing, communications and government relations teams.
- Contribute to a team culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to make our processes more efficient.
