Publisher Experience Specialist, Trust and Safety

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in publisher sales/experience, content business generation, policy creation, program management, business strategy, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in developing and delivering training materials and presentations.
  • Understanding of online advertising technologies, including programmatic advertising, ad serving, and header bidding with challenges and opportunities within APAC.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, synthesize feedback from external stakeholders, work separately and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is an external-facing role that requires interactions in English with local and global stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The Publisher Experience team in Trust and Safety is on a mission to empower publishers to grow in a safe and transparent digital advertising ecosystem by enabling sustainable business growth and fostering trust, transparency, and proactive risk mitigation.

In this role, you will represent our publishers within the APAC region, advocating their needs and driving improvements to their overall experience. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing feedback, communicating updates, providing dedicated support to key partners, and representing the company at industry events. You will have strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and mitigating risks to ensure publisher satisfaction and success.At Google we work hard to earn our users’ trust every day. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze feedback from publishers within the assigned region on their experience with our products, policies, and processes. Effectively communicate this feedback to relevant internal product, engineering, policy, and operations teams.
  • Educate internal stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on policy changes, advertiser preferences, and product updates.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and communications to educate publishers on new features, policy updates, best practices, and advertiser requirements.
  • Provide support for priority publisher partners within the region, ensuring their needs are met and fostering strong, long-term relationships. Represent the company at industry conferences, partner events, and workshops, building relationships and promoting our commitment to publisher success.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance publisher experience, and potential risks that may impact experience within the region. Work collaboratively to develop and implement strategies that solve for these.
