Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent practical
experience. - 1 year of experience in Civil/Structural or Site Engineering.
- Experience with building design, coordination, and construction.
- Experience implementing civil/structural engineering principles (e.g.,
grading and drainage, hydraulic modeling, sediment control, erosion
control, or soil migration).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in any US state(s).
- Expertise in industrial facility and data center design and construction.
- Expertise in finite element modeling and analysis.
- Experience in a structural engineering role.
- Expertise with 3D modeling and analysis.

With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).
As a Civil Engineer within the Data Center team, you will provide civil engineering knowledge and technical leadership for the design and development of new data center projects. You will play a key role in program planning, strategy development, and ensuring the implementation of civil works across facilities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and updating internal Google requirements and specifications for data center infrastructure.
- Review and assist in the evaluation of data center designs, ensuring technical compliance and adherence to Google's standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.) to ensure a coordinated and integrated design.
- Conduct thorough reviews of detailed design documents for data center buildings and equipment enclosures, ensuring accuracy, compliance with requirements, and proposing alternatives for optimal performance.
